We received the exciting news that we have 25 embryos growing. This far exceeds our expectations and my husband and I are thrilled with the results.
The next update we’ll receive will be on Saturday. This report will tell how many embryos made it to the Blastocyst stage (meaning the cells have divided 100 times) this stage is an important development for us since we will be freezing all embryos for genetic testing for future transfer, we are not doing a fresh transfer due to my estrogen levels being extremely elevated. We are feeling optimistic.
I’m in a good deal of pain today from the surgery. I feel really bloated and uncomfortable but that didn’t stop us from getting out in this beautiful city for a bit more sightseeing adventures. We road a cable car to the top of Prague for an amazing view of the city which was totally worth the discomfort. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow morning to do a follow up ultrasound for OHSS (Ovarian hyper stimulation syndrome) before I board a plane for 17 hours tomorrow. The most concerning side effect of OHSS is blood clots so I may receive a prescription for additional medication.
